REFEREE INFORMATION
JUNIOR RAMS YOUTH REFEREES
Our in-house Junior Rams Programs are refereed by members of the New Canaan FC soccer community. Referees should be 11 years of age or older and commit to at least one hour per Saturday. If interested please contact Coaching@NewCanaanFC.com
Payment Process
All referees should submit a Reimbursement Form online here: https://forms.gle/pqt9EbSfM1S5idEcA
The form should be filled out for every 2 weeks of games completed.
You can choose to get paid either by check or via Zelle directly into a bank account.
In order to be paid by Zelle you must be enrolled with your bank and is a faster way to receive a payment.
Checks can be mailed but may take up to 2 weeks.
TRAVEL SOCCER REFEREES
NCFC needs both Adult and Youth Referees. This is a great way for adults who love soccer to stay involved with the game. For the youth, it’s a flexible, part time job which pays very well, looks great on a resume and teaches leadership skills
How to become a Travel Soccer referee:

Youth referees must be 13 at the date of registration to become a certified travel referee.
The certification process is conducted by the Connecticut State Referee Program, not New Canaan FC, which includes:
- An online training part which consists of a 2-3-hour online course.
- Half Day Field Training Session, once all online modules are complete.

REIMBURSEMENT
For parents who are paying referee fees during the season, please follow the below instructions for reimbursement.
Step 1:
Print out the following form
https://s3.amazonaws.com/files.leagueathletics.com/Text/Documents/1952/55836.pdf and bring to the game for referee signature. NCFC requires referees to sign this form as verification(for tax purposes) that they worked for any given game. If you are reimbursing a referee, you must get their printed name(legible please) and their signature. You may have multiple games on one form.
Step2:
Please send a scanned or photographed copy of the form via email to treasurer@newcanaanfc.com. Please provide us with name and address that check should be sent to OR if you would like to be paid via Zelle, provide your registered Zelle cell phone or email address.
