PETITE RAMS PROGRAM INFORMATION (Ages 3-5)

Petite Rams is available to all players prior to entering Kindergarten and serves as our entry level soccer program for Pre K children.

The program combines soccer activities with the ABCs of movement, agility, balance and coordination, helping young players build fundamental movement skills while having fun. Each session features adventure based learning with a soccer ball, encouraging children to use their imagination through games of exploration and play.

  • Petite Rams Program Objectives

    • Provides a FUN and structured soccer experience for our youngest players.
    • Provide a positive first interaction with soccer.
    • Provide positive participation in organized sport.
    • Focus on games that are based around mass participation with continuous contact with a ball to improve their comfort with and familiarity of dribbling and controlling the ball with their feet.
    • Games will include fundamental movements such as agility, balance, and coordination.
    • Parents are expected to participate as needed to support their child's engagement

Frequently Asked Questions:

  • What is the time commitment?

    The Petite Rams Program meets one time per week for 45-60 minutes on Saturday mornings, starting at 9:00am, 10:00am, 11:00am or 12:00pm.

  • Is there a uniform?

    We ask that all Petite Rams arrive in the following uniform but understand that this may not always occur for this age group.

      *Size 3 Soccer Ball, provided at the first session of the season

  • The registration system is showing the wrong grade for my child. What should I do?

    Email registrar@newcanaanfc.com with your child’s full name and the grade/program they need to register for. The registrar will update the information in the system and let you know when you can return to complete registration.
